Childcare Benefit & Childcare Rebate

Childcare Benefit (CCB) and Childcare Rebate (CCR) are payments made by the Australian Government to families to assist with the cost of childcare these are available to all eligible families on a means tested basis. All families are required to contact the FAO on 13 61 50 to process a claim for CCB and/or CCR before your child can commence. The FAO will assess you for CCB/CCR and you will obtain your customer reference number CRN for both you and your child. Then please bring these details into the centre so we can process your child’s enrolment.

All children are entitled up to 42 days of absence per financial year before CCB entitlements become effected. These may be taken for more than one day at a time. Also, please ensure you keep up to date with your child’s immunisations, failure to do so can result in your CCB/CCR being cancelled by the FAO.

All accounts are issued on a fortnightly basis for the previous fortnight your child attends. If at any time you choose to withdraw your child from care permanently, 2 weeks’ notice is required in writing. Your childcare account must be paid in full at the commencement of your child’s last week of care before care can continue for your child’s final week. Please ensure you read your account each fortnight and always check to make sure your ‘multi child count’ is correct. By making sure you receive the correct entitlements it will mean you will reconcile at the end of the financial year with Centrelink and not be in arrears with them financially.
